The little cottage was mind-blowing with a perfect log fire and incredibly comfortable bed. It was within walking distance of pubs and a good distance to explore the beautiful surroundings. The complimentary bottle of wine was the cherry on top! The hosts were super friendly and accommodating.

Stayed at a historic 18th-century building, feeling like a time traveler. The property had a washing machine, making me feel oh-so-domestic. And they even provided towels, so I didn't have to bring my own "fancy" ones.

Couldn't hear myself think over the delightful sounds of Alton Towers nearby, but who needs peace and quiet when you can have constant amusement park noise, right? So rejuvenating!

Not enough kitchen light.

The cottage had a charming and cosy atmosphere, perfect for a Christmas getaway. The decor was a beautiful blend of old-style charm and modern features, giving it a unique character. The location was ideal, with easy access to town, pubs, shops.

There were a couple of minor inconveniences during our stay. the noise from the nearby road could be slightly bothersome at times.

The hosts are incredibly accommodating and even left a super welcome pack with prosecco and crisps. The comfy bed, well-equipped kitchen, and flat-screen TV made it feel like a home away from home. And bonus points for allowing pets! The clear arrival instructions and easy access to the keys from the lockbox made the whole experience even more convenient. I can't recommend this place enough for a jaw-dropping getaway in the heart of the Peak District.
